Affiliate FAQ's
Q. Do I need to include an affiliate disclosure statement in my emails? A. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you include some kind of affiliate disclosure statement in your emails and promotional materials. As an example, it can be as simple as this short paragraph at the end of each email: "Affiliate Disclosure: Please note that when you invest in the program through my links I will receive a referral commission. Thank you for your business." If you are offering a bonus to anyone who purchases through your affiliate link (something else we HIGHLY RECOMMEND) then you can use your affiliate disclosure statement to tell them thats your way of thanking them for purchasing through your link. Be creative and find a way to turn it into a win-win. Q. How does a prospect become connected to me when they make a purchase? A. When a prospect clicks on your affiliate link, their COMPUTER is electronically coded with something called a cookie. This cookie links them immediately to a product purchase that they make on that computer. It is important to note that if they use a different computer or even a different browser to make a purchase then they would need to click on your link on the different computer/browser prior to their purchase in order for you to get the commission. Please instruct your prospects accordingly. Q. How can I track my commissions? A. Log into your Affiliate Account here: https://ebe.infusionsoft.com/Affiliate/index.jsp and click on Commissions Summary and select the month you want to view. You can get a more detailed report of your commissions as well as Impressions, Clicks, and sales Summary by clicking on the Reports tab and choosing the desired time frame. Please note that you cannot check stats for the same day in real time. All stats are reported after 24 hours. Q. If several affiliates are marketing to the same prospect, who gets the commission when the prospect buys? A. If your prospect has clicked on multiple links from different affiliates (which is very common), the only way to get credit for the sale and receive the commission is for your prospect to click on YOUR affiliate link just prior to clicking on the purchase button. In other words, the last affiliate link the prospect clicks on before buying will be the the affiliate who receives the commission. This does not mean you should wait until late in the launch to send an email to your list. Far from it! Instead you should send a series of messages (i.e. a campaign) that offers value, educates your prospects and differentiates YOU from the other affiliates they may be receiving emails from. We highly recommend offering a special bonus for anyone who purchases through your link then tell them EXACTLY HOW to purchase through your link. Be specific and let them know the only way they can get your special bonus is to click on your link (and give it to them) immediately before the buy. (Theres also a way to instruct them to clear their computers cookies if you prefer to do that.) General Instructions To Clear Computers Cookies (this is not a guarantee!)
